Tab is a traditional Middle Eastern game. It is at least 800 years old, and is still played today by Arabic speakers. Little known in the West, Pandora Games decided to celebrate its unique gameplay and cultural heritage with a limited, hand-made edition. To our knowledge, this game has never before been released in any form outside of the Middle East.
Tab is an interesting blend between race and war games wherein two players move through various loops on the board, evolving the states of their pieces and attempting to capture their opponents'.
The board is made from a thick cotton fabric, with sewn borders. Pieces are engraved and hand-painted wood. Four hand-made, wooden throwing sticks and a rule sheet are included. The game is packaged in a tubular box that protects the board when not in use.
